Nova is an original character for an ongoing personal project about characters in a magical fantasy academy. She is a problematic wealthy aristocrat who comes across as abrasive to those who don't stick around long enough to penetrate her prideful attitude. I made an effort to display this attitude in her facial expressions through her eyes as much as possible.

I went through a few design options throughout my character design process. The design process below overlays the original body shape I made for her. I tried different hairstyles and outfits, but ultimately went with the simpler overall design. Her character is made up of rounded circles with a few pointy edges to appear imposing and regal.

This was a storyboard concept for a Budweiser commercial I did for an assignment. The draft below shows the process work behind the final result.

This was a study I did as a class project practicing 3D forms in different perspectives with different lighting.

First we started by sketching cubes of different sizes and perspectives, then we used the cubes to define the perspectives of heads in our next drawing as shown below.

An original character design used for personal comics. This sheet was to explore different colour combinations, and I started shading the one that appealed to me the most.

This was for an assignment where we had to draw actual storefronts in Toronto. The sketch below was my initial draft where we were supposed to make design notes to guide our process.

Kings of Colour is a museum exhibition concept I proposed for a corporate branding project. The goal was to build exhibition assets in the style of Craig & Karl's brand, which consists of bold, colourful and playful work filled with simple messages thoughtfully executed in a fun way.

Oishi Cafe is a restaurant concept design I made for a corporate design course I took at George Brown. While the project was a full branding exercise including a storefront and menu, the component I enjoyed creating most was the merchandise. I created a variety of props including packaging, aprons, mugs, toys and more!
